What It Is

Sprite Editor is asset tooling for rapid iteration. It turns imported or generated art into predictable game-ready sprite sheets.

Constraint

The useful workflow is simple: import, validate, preview, export, iterate. Fast. The tool exists to remove repeated manual cleanup from game production.

System Shape

A local desktop tool with import, slicing, cleanup, preview, validation, project save/load, metadata, and transparent PNG export.

Architecture Notes

  • Load and slice imported sprite sheets
  • Validate dimensions, rows, transparency, and output shape
  • Preview assets before they enter the game
  • Export clean transparent PNGs and metadata
